Nick and I got married on May 16, 2009. He’s from Idaho, is a smarty pants engineer, likes diesel trucks and still can’t understand my southern accent sometimes. He makes me laugh every single day.
Right before we celebrated our first anniversary, we took off from Tennessee and moved to Washington, DC. We spent the next three years paying too much for apartment rent, visiting every tourist site in the city and eating our way through too many restaurants to count.
In November 2012, we found out that we were getting a BIG surprise for our fourth wedding anniversary. Yes, I’m that person that thought she had mono instead of realizing she was pregnant. A few weeks later, we got another life change when Nick’s company relocated us for the next few years to a very familiar location-my hometown! We said goodbye to DC in December and officially became Tennessee residents in 2013.
We became a family of three on May 9, 2013, when a tiny little human turned our lives upside down. It took a while for me to feel like a Mommy, but this little guy has completely stolen our hearts. I think it’s because of his sweet kisses.
That’s the short version of our lives. Stick around and read the long one!
